COVINGTON - Amos Francis, 82, of 1001 E. Liberty, died at 3 p.m. Thursday (February 10, 1972) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient five weeks and had been ill about the same length of time. Born Jan. 31, 1890, in Marshall, Ill., he was the son of James and Mary Francis. He was married Sept. 24, 1925, at Covington to Ethel Highland, who survives. Mr. Francis had been employed on the railroad and had resided in Covington for 30 years. He was a former resident of Ridge Farm, Ill. He was a member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ and Modern Woodman. - jlr
